WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS
CALL TO WORSHIP (Psalm 23)
Leader: The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
PEOPLE: He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters;
Leader: he restores my soul. He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake.
PEOPLE: Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
Leader: You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
PEOPLE: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD my whole life long.
INVOCATION
Creator God, you call us to love and serve you
with body, mind, and spirit through loving your creation
and our sisters and brothers. Open our hearts in compassion
and receive these petitions on behalf of the needs of the church and the world.
**OPENING HYMN “Savior, Like a Shepherd Lead Us” Red #522
CALL TO CONFESSION
God doesn’t cast us out for our disobedience, but gathers us in. He not only redeems us through Jesus but empowers us through the gift of the Holy Spirit. Let us pray together in thanks and for greater understanding.
PRAYER OF UNDERSTANDING
O God, sustained by your mercy we freely admit to our sins. As you sent Christ to reconcile your people, forgive our failings as you show us once again the image of your son, who loves his enemies and teaches us to do the same.
(a moment for silent personal confession)
ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS
God is gracious. God is understanding. God is wise. God is forgiving. In all these we are grateful. By the grace of Jesus, Amen.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE AND THE LORD’S PRAYER
Gracious God, keep in our hearts all those whose names you already know and who ask for healing in their own quiet ways, let us pray together as our redeemer taught us, saying:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen
OUR TITHES AND OFFERINGS
It is right to share our abundance with those who have less or need more. May what we offer here help to be the answer of the prayers of others in the name of Jesus, Amen.
