WELCOME and ANNOUNCEMENTS
CALL TO WORSHIP (Adapted from Psalm 66)
Leader: Make a joyful noise to God, all the earth; PEOPLE: sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise. Leader: All the earth worships you; they sing praises to you, sing praises to your name." PEOPLE: Come and see what God has done: he is awesome in his deeds among mortals
Leader: He turned the sea into dry land; they passed through the river on foot. There we rejoiced in him, PEOPLE: who rules by his might forever, whose eyes keep watch on the nations-- let the rebellious not exalt themselves. Leader: Bless our God, O peoples, let the sound of his praise be heard, PEOPLE: who has kept us among the living, and has not let our feet slip.
Father of us all, we gather in your name to celebrate your goodness and grace for all your creations. Grant us peace in knowing one another as creatures of faith, and as obedient servants of your word and message. Amen.

MESSAGE FOR CHILDREN OF ALL AGES
CALL TO CONFESSION
We receive the gifts of God as grateful children, but we need to remember that special grace that comes to us through love and the message of Jesus’s sacrifice on our behalf. Let us pray together.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Most Patient Lord, we confess that we receive your graciousness as though we deserve it by merely being your children but bring us out of our arrogance into a closer understanding of our place in your Creation and in your Kingdom of Heaven, by virtue of the gift of Jesus, in whose name we pray, Amen.
(a moment for silent personal confession)
ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS
By the word of the Gospels and the unending love of our Creator, we are forgiven, now and forever. Amen.

**APOSTLES CREED (from the Choctaw Nation Creed)
I believe in God, Creator of our unique native languages, Who gifted us this identity as a distinct people through our native tongues, so that our native spiritual leaders could relay God's love to our people who could not understand that foreign tongue called English.
I believe in Jesus Christ, our relative, who talked of us when he said, “I have other sheep out there, besides those I have here.” I believe in Jesus Christ who knew the pain of our native people who were forced from their homeland and had no place to lay their head. I believe in Jesus Christ who does not say “goodbye” in any language but says “I will come again.”
I believe in the Holy Spirit as tongues of fire lighting upon our people to witness to their people and to the world. I believe in the Holy Spirit as our guide and the driving force for our native people to do a new thing as we walk a new journey, toward better lives for all humankind.
PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION
Draw us close, Holy Spirit, as the Scriptures are read and the Word is proclaimed. Let the word of faith be on our lips and in our hearts, and let all other words slip away. May there be one voice we hear today—the voice of truth and grace. Amen.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE & THE LORD’S PRAYER
And Lord we pray for those in our own hearts whose names you already know, for their own healing and comfort, in your name and that of our redeemer Jesus Christ, who taught to pray, saying:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.
OUR TITHES AND OFFERINGS
We can hoard the gifts with which you bless us, God of generosity, or we can share them with others. May what we offer in these moments be the very blessing, the very hope, the very peace others need. This we pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
