CALL TO WORSHIP Psalm 24
Leader: The earth is the LORD’s and all that is in it, the world, and those who live in it;
People: for he has founded it on the seas and established it on the rivers.
Leader: Who shall ascend the hill of the LORD? And who shall stand in his holy place?
People: Those who have clean hands and pure hearts, who do not lift up their souls to what is false, and do not swear deceitfully.
Leader: They will receive blessing from the LORD, and vindication from the God of their salvation.
People: Such is the company of those who seek Him, who seek the face of the God of Jacob.
Leader: Lift up your heads, O gates! and be lifted up, O ancient doors! that the King of glory may come in.
People: Who is the King of glory? The LORD, strong and mighty, the LORD, mighty in battle.
Leader: Lift up your heads, O gates! and be lifted up, O ancient doors! that the King of glory may come in.
People: Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory.

SCRIPTURE Psalm 107
Leader: O give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever.
People: Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, those he redeemed from trouble
Leader: and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south.
People: Some wandered in desert wastes, finding no way to an inhabited town;
Leader: hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted within them.
People: Then they cried to the LORD in their Trouble, and he delivered them from their distress;
Leader: Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love, for his wonderful works to humankind.
People: For he satisfies the thirsty, and the hungry he fills with good things.
Leader: Some sat in darkness and in gloom, prisoners in misery and in irons,
People: Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress;
Leader: he brought them out of darkness and gloom,and broke their bonds asunder.
People: Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love, for his wonderful works to humankind.
Leader: Some went down to the sea in ships, doing business on the mighty waters;
People: they saw the deeds of the LORD, he made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed.
Leader: Then they were glad because they had quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven.
People: Let them thank the LORD for his steadfast love, for his wonderful works to humankind.
Leader: Let them extol him in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
People: The upright see it and are glad; and all wickedness stops its mouth.
All: Let those who are wise give heed to these things, and consider the steadfast love of the LORD.
