PRELUDE     “ALL CREATURES OF OUR GOD AND KING”              Acapeldridge

WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

CALL TO WORSHIP (Adapted from Psalm 62)

Leader: For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from him.

PEOPLE: He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be

shaken.

Leader: On God rests my deliverance and my honor; my mighty rock, my refuge is in

God.

PEOPLE: Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God

is a refuge for us.

Leader: Those of low estate are but a breath, those of high estate are a delusion;

PEOPLE: in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath.

Leader: Twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God,

PEOPLE: Steadfast love belongs to you, O Lord. For you repay to all according to

their work.

INVOCATION

O God, the angels of heaven proclaim your glory without ceasing. Help us as we serve

you in your house, that in psalms and hymns and anthems we may sing to you with our

whole heart through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

**OPENING HYMN             “All Who Love and Serve Your City”          Red #430

CALL TO CONFESSION

We are all sinners in your world, Dear God. We try but we often still fail. Let us confess together

PRAYER OF CONFESSION

Gracious God, we admit it: We tend towards addressing easy decisions and focus on petty issues in most of what we do, and sometimes even in the church. We cling to opinions or desires without graciousness or care for others. We do this despite knowing that we have our priorities misplaced. Lord, help us to focus on your vision of what is most significant, for us, and for our world …

(moment for silent personal confession)

ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS

Sisters and Brothers, believe the Good News of the Gospels. In the name of Jesus Christ, we are forgiven.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE

And Lord we pray for those in our own hearts whose names you already know, for their

own healing and comfort, in your name and that of our redeemer Jesus Christ, who

taught to pray, saying:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen

OUR TITHES AND OFFERINGS

May what we offer here be of our own hearts and dedicated to the service of our faith

and our mission to others as they become the blessings and hope that others need and

pray for in their own lives. This we pray in the name of Jesus.  Amen

Christ.  Amen.
