INVOCATION
Lord Jesus, You looked upon the crowds with compassion and provided more than enough for their every need. Grant us that same spirit of compassion, that we may love our neighbors as You have loved us and become faithful stewards of the blessings You have entrusted to our care.
**OPENING HYMN “God Himself Is with Us” Red #799
CALL TO CONFESSION
The good news is that our God does not turn away repentant hearts. The One who fed the multitude with compassion invites us to come with honesty, humility, and hope, trusting in God’s unfailing mercy.
Therefore, let confess our sins before God and one another, first in silent and then together with our prayer of confession.
PRAYER FOR UNDERSTANDING
Gracious and merciful God, You are the Giver of every good and perfect gift. Time and again, You provide more than we need, yet we often live as though there will never be enough. We confess that we worry instead of trusting, cling to what we have instead of sharing generously, and focus on our own needs while overlooking the needs of others. Forgive us for the times we have doubted. Your provision, ignored cries of those who are hungry, or failed to see the abundance of Your grace at work in our lives. Like the disciples, we sometime see only what is lacking instead of trusting what You can accomplish through willing hearts and faithful hands. We offer this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, the Bread of Life, who nourishes us with His grace and calls us to feed others in His name.
(A moment for silent personal confession)
ASSURANCE OF FORGIVENESS
In Jesus Christ, we see that compassion made flesh. He welcomes the weary, feeds the hungry, heals the broken, and offers Himself as the Bread of Life for the world. Through His life, death, and resurrection, our sins are forgiven, our lives are made new, and we are reconciled to God.
Friends, believe the good news of the Gospel:
People: In Jesus Christ, we are forgiven!

**HYMN OF PRAISE “Jesus Is All the World to Me” Red #491
PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION
Through the Scriptures read and proclaimed, reveal Your grace anew. May Your Word challenge us where we need to be changed, comfort us where we are weary, and guide us into deeper trust and faithful discipleship.
Bless the reading and preaching of Your Word, that we may hear Your voice and follow where You lead.
We pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE
And Lord we pray for those in our own hearts whose names you already know, for their own healing and comfort, in your name and that of our redeemer Jesus Christ, who taught us to pray, saying:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our
debtors.
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

**PASSING OF THE PEACE
AFFIRMATION OF FAITH (from the Apostles’ Creed)
I believe in God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father almighty. From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
OUR TITHES AND OFFERINGS
Let us return to God the offerings of our life and the gifts of the earth. May our gifts be a blessing to those who receive them. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
