ABOUT US

We strive to serve God and, through the grace of Jesus Christ, our community.

We believe that we are called to serve and worship God, to preach God's word and to share God's love with each other, both within the community of Union Church and in the wider community.

God's call includes an interior as well as an exterior dimension. We need to foster our own individual spirituality and open our individual relationships with God while developing and using the gifts and talents God has given us. This will allow us to enlarge our strong community of believers who care for and support each other. We are at the same time called individually and as a church community to reach out into the wider community to serve and to spread God's word and love there.

We believe that as a faith community who serves Jesus Christ we are called, as He was, to welcome all people into our congregation who wish to join with s in serving and worshiping Him. Within our congregation, we differ in our responses to issues of tolerance and diversity. We believe that God calls us to continue to struggle with these important issues so that we can create a Christian community that serves all of God's people.

OUR MISSION

We are called to serve God, to preach God's word and to share God's love with each other

and throughout the wider community Union Church serves.

We are at the same time called individually and as a church community to reach out into the wider community to serve and to spread God's word and love.

We believe that as a faith community that serves Jesus Christ we are called, as He was, to welcome all people into our congregation who wish to join with us in serving and worshiping Him.

WHAT WE DO

We are a diverse community of believers drawn from Newburgh, New York and the surrounding

mid-Hudson Valley region.

WORSHIP TOGETHER

Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month and major church holidays. All who profess faith in Jesus Christ are welcome to participate.
